The Department of Neurosurgery at Jubilee Mission Medical College Hospital had its inception in the year 2002. Since then, it has established itself as one of the prominent centres for Neurosurgery serving a large population including Thrissur as well as its adjacent districts in Central and North Kerala.
Our team comprises a dedicated team of Consultants, Junior Doctors, Trained Nurses and Ancillary staff, who provide round the clock service.
We are capable of handling all Neurosurgical Emergencies including complex Neurotrauma, Neurovascular emergencies and Spinal emergencies.
Apart from Outpatient and Inpatient services, we also have an exclusive 2-level, 23 bedded Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit with all modern monitoring systems and Ventilators.
We have 2 exclusive Operating Rooms that are equipped with modern technology that includes Operating Microscopes, Endoscopes, Stereotactic frames, ‘C’ arm, CUSA, Surgical drills and Micro-Surgical instruments. We are in the process of upgrading this to include Neuro-Navigation and Intra operative Imaging. Some of the surgeries we routinely perform here are –

The department aims to turn evolve into a centre of excellence in Neurosurgery. We intend to be able to provide current and modern standards of care to our patients, while advancing the science of Neurosurgery through high quality teaching and academic activities.
