The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jubilee Mission Medical College is a well equipped referral centre handling a large number of complicated cases with care and dedication. We have been a leading patient centered team for over five decades from a humble beginning to around 400 patients in a day in our Outpatient Department .We have an IP of over 250 patients.

Our Labour room provides a pleasant, efficient and patient friendly Intrapartum and postpartum care. We have round- the -clock doctors -for both obstetric and neonatal care, skilled nursing staff with monitoring facilities.. To give the best comfort to the expecting mothers we have special options of obstetric analgesia like Epidural analgesia (painless labour) and Entonox (Inhalation analgesia).etc The labour room also has a High Dependency Unit to render special care to high risk patients. Thanks to the Department of Transfusion Medicine we have immediate access to blood and blood products incase of need. With a well equipped system, delivering high quality obstetric care we have kept down our caesarean rates as well.
All the wards are self sufficient with an organized team work by the nursing staff and the doctors. Round the clock, the wards are under the supervision of doctors to attend to the inpatient needs immediately as & when they arise , which is an important asset regarding patient care.
Specialized clinics are available which allows patients to get specific services they need
OPDs are equipped with facilities for colposcopy,endometrial sampling with pipelle, pap smear, Intra uterine Insemination, USG etc.
Show casing our rich clinical carrier we have a museum with around 100 specimens, charts, etc.. for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and Mannequins for hands on training. The medical stall we put up from our hospital during ‘TheThrissur Pooram’ has won us laurels from the locals.
Very efficient neonatal services are our strength and we have facilities to render tender care the tiny premature babies from above 26 weeks with ventilators, CPAP, round the clock fellows in neonatology, paediatricians to attend each delivery. A perinatal meeting is conducted every month where Obstetricians and Paediatricians discuss cases, aiming towards excellence in care.
We have a structured undergraduate (M.B.B.S) and Post Graduate training programme . Due to our academic excellence , our Department had always been the first pick at the All India Toppers of National Board of Examination Candidates Dip NB(O.G)]. Moving forward, we now offer Masters Programme MS-OBGYN under Kerala University of Health Sciences since2012.Various courses taught by the Department includes

A well organized team work with MCCU ( Multi Disciplinary Critical Care Unit) and other departments to ensure that our high risk morbid patients get the best quality ICU/HDU care.
